Wonderful World of World of Warcraft

When you first break into the wonderful online game World of Warcraft, you’ll be overwhelmed by the various activities you can participate in. From magic to melee, mining to mounting, you will never suffer from a lack of things to do. Speaking of mining, it’s one of the most essential skills a Warcraft player can possess. And if you’re looking for a WoW mining guide online, good luck finding one to suit your purpose – there are literally hundreds!

Let’s run over a few quick points about mining. This short and simple guide will explain how you can get started at level one and learn how to quickly work your way up in the hundreds. This is a no-muss-no-fuss approach.

Make up your mind to mine and let’s pick up a mining pick and a cheap pair of green gloves and slap them bad boys with a +5 enchant to get started! You can also pick up a Cartographer or a CT Map Mod.

To jump quickly from level 1 to 65, dig into the copper mines at Dun Morogh and Durotar. You’ll find copper all over the place and quickly jump up in the ranks. The next phase is Incendicite mining – which should jump you right up to level 125. You’ll need to visit the Wetlands and Thelgan Rock. Once inside, mine the ore and watch your level jump.

No WoW mining guide would be complete without getting you at least to level 200. So these next two mining phases should bring you to about 250! Sound good? Okay, stop by the Alterac Mountains or Arathi to mine gold and iron. Once you reach skill level 160, you can smelt the gold to reach 175. And from there, you can mine truesilver and mithril from Highperch in Thousand Needles.

The flow of the game keeps going from there for miners. You can reach well into the 400s in a little amount of time. Just remember to stick with the places listed and tackle them in order.

Yugioh and Magic the Gathering Game Nights

warpsters-logo

This Friday we’re having a double game night. We’ve got a large group of Yugioh players who are regulars and now we’re hosting a big group of Magic The Gathering players too. It’s an exciting week as we are also finishing up a private computer, video and XBOX gaming room.

I love all the trading card games but can’t wait to break-in the new game room. If you’re in the Phoenix area, should come by and join in. Soon will have some live videos of some of the gamer challenges.

Amazing Spider-man Brand New Day Trade Paperback

Just finished reading Marvel’s Brand New Day The Amazing Spider-man trade paperback.  I have really become hooked on the trade paperbacks.  The art is in bright high-gloss formats and really let’s you see the detail of the artwork.
It was terrific, putting back some of the quirky fun antics of spidey really made me feel like the old spidey was back.  It has spider-man up against Overdrive and Mister Negative.  But best of all is the fantastic artwork and style of the red haired and quite buxum Jackpot.  It is a collection of Amazing Spider-Man #546-551, Spider-man Swing Shift and material from Venom Super Special #1.
A great – fun read and excellent art.  A nice way to spend some quiet time after work.

Anyone else hooked on trade paperbacks?

Questing in World of Warcraft

Questing in World of WarCraft is one of the most important elements in the game since its release. To enjoy all aspects of the game, understand the story more, participate in epic boss battles, and get some fine items and coins, every World of WarCraft quest counts.

Every World of Warcraft quest involves a series of tasks or missions that are given by NPCs and normally have rewards in the forum of gold, items, and/or experience points. Many of the completed quests lead to follow up quests forming a quest chain. As you progress through the World of WarCraft quest chain, you’ll encounter increasingly difficult and exciting challenges.

Here are some tips that can help you master these quests so you can move on to higher levels:

Install a Leveling Guide Addon or a Quest Helper

Some quests are just simply unforgiving for those characters on low levels. Leveling up can be quite frustrating as well if you don’t know where to go or don’t enjoy grinding all that much. A good leveling guide mod can greatly assist you even if you’re a newbie player. It will not only guide you in getting some extra experience and gold, but it may also help you in accomplishing that one World of WarCraft quest that you can’t beat.

Learn to Run Away

Dying during a World of WarCraft quest is never a good thing and dying usually happens when you are outnumbered with enemies and don’t know how to fend them off. Always know that enemies are a little dumb and follow exactly the path you walk so by strafing in alternate directions, you can slow down enemy movement so you can out run them. Use that chance in having some of your comrades assist you in battle so you can press forward. Turning on camera flip in the interface options will make it easier since you can see the mobs chasing you.

Check Online for Help

There are plenty of sites and wikis that offer detailed guides through the quests. Try checking out Thottbot for an organized database of different quests available or consult the WowWiki on strategies how to fight the bosses. You can also check out some forums or search around for user-recorded videos of characters accomplishing the quests.

Resorting to addons are usually the best way in aiding you to finish questions without any risks of exploiting the game. Give some of them a try and combine them with your own game play style. Every World of WarCraft quest has its level of difficulty, but is beatable with persistence.
