Xbox360 is the Bomb of all Game Systems

You hear all the hype – all the time. PS3 is the best – no, forget that, it has to be the Wii, or no, no, no, it’s the Xbox guys. You know what? I’m here to lay the hype to rest. The best system is the Xbox 360 and this article will give you 10 solid reasons explaining why. Ready…

Now don’t get me wrong, gaming systems from Sony and Nintendo are good – solid titles, graphics yada yada yada. BUT, when it comes to really getting the maximum out of your gaming system than the Xbox 360 has them all beat.

In the Xbox 360, Microsoft has created a beast that just keeps getting better and better. Sure, they are problems with some of the technology, but then again, show me a piece of technology that always runs perfectly and I’ll eat my Xbox!

Whether it is titles, graphics or its brilliant ability to link to other players, LIVE, around the world in real-time, the Xbox 360 wins hands down! Here are my top 10 reasons for you to choose the 360 before any other system.

1. The Xbox360 come with awesome wireless connections which I just love. Letting you remain in control from over 30 feet away, I find this feature perfect for those long gaming sessions when you get tired of staying in the same position. It definitely helps my gaming!

2. The games list is just awesome – and keeps getting better. Not only are some of the best games ever written available on the 360, but many amazing titles are written exclusively for the Xbox 360.

3. The Xbox Live feature is truly revolutionary – you get to play multiplayer games against opponents from all over the world. You can create gamer tags for id, make avatars, create a friends list, set up a rating system, keep track of your achievements and so much more. This alone makes the Xbox 360 the best.

4. If you are thinking of upgrading from the Xbox and are worried about the games that you have already bought, worry not. Over 200 Xbox games are compatible with the Xbox 360!

5. The Xbox Live feature also lets you tap into an awesome arcades marketplace. Here you can try free games, ultra cheap games and more. The possibilities are endless.

6. Xbox 360 graphics just rock! The 360 runs three (three!) 3.2 GH processors that run with a 500MhzATI graphics processor. You want power? Need I say more?

7. Remember, the Xbox 360 is more than just gaming. It is also an all-round entertainment system so you can watch movies, download music and play your own CDs as well.

8. The Xbox 360 plugs you right into the heart of the game development world. You get the opportunity to download demos, and bonus packs from game developers. This is a great feature that lets you tap into the latest cutting-edge gaming developments.

9. The Xbox 360 keeps track of your gaming history – lets you easily recall scores, favorite games, images and so on.

10. The Headset feature lets you chat in real time to friends and fellow gamers around the world. Imagine chatting to teammates and opponents while playing? How cool is that?

11. Oh yeah – I’ll throw in one more reason as well – the Xbox 360 just looks cool. Not only that, you can easily mod it with different face plates as well. If you want your gaming gear to look good then you have no choice.

If those 10 (sorry, 11!) reasons don’t persuade you then you must be lacking some serious gaming passion. If you want to take your gaming to the next level then the Xbox 360 is the only game in town. Enjoy!

World of Warcraft…WoW What a Game!

We’ve talked before about alot of different WoW subjects and today we’re starting with FARMING…

One of the ways you can get some money is through “farming” for gold.
“Farming” isn’t as fun as duelling and casting spells ; it’s a time-consuming chore.

Gold and other items as most of you know is transferrable from one player to another.

In Warcraft, it’s the currency itself that’s being overproduced, not just any product. That means it’ll take more units of that currency to exchange for any product. Inflation. The price of everything goes up. Everything you worked so hard to save up suddenly becomes worth so much less.

The Warcraft economy appears to be on the lip of this plunge and administrators are taking steps to curb inflation.
But there are ways of getting around this barrier.

What lies ahead for the Warcraft economy? Let’s keep watching it in the future.  In the meantime, whether you buy it or make it yourself, gold is King.

Pokemon Trading Cards

   pokemon

The Pokemon trading card game has become very popular after its original launch back in 1996 in Japan. The most appealing factor is that the game is played very similarly to the way it is played in the animation series which captured the attention of young people. Its complexity is similar to games such as chess due to the fact that each player needs to know exactly what each card does, how it can be used in addition to the many others available and how to anticipate attacks.

Each Pokemon cards have marked on them their attack abilities, powers, weaknesses and hit points. The card games has only 9 types of Pokemon cards instead of the 17 which were originally displayed. The card color varies according to the Pokemon type, for instance:

* A blue card describes a Pokemon which resides in the water and has water abilities.
* An orange or brown trading cards describes Pokemon with earth, rock and fighting abilities.
* Purple trading cards represent psychic, ghost or poison type.
* Red as you may think represents a fire type
* Yellow cards are used for the electric type.
* Silver or gray cards are used to represent metal, or steel abilities.
* As assumed, green cards represent the grass type of Pokemon or the ones related to nature, bugs and poison.
* Navy blue or obscure colored cards depict dark type.
* And white cards represent flying and normal types.

Another basic card classification shows that every player’s deck has more than just Pokemon cards, they also have stadium, supporter, trainer, and energy cards which affect other players cards according to its abilities. For instance:

* Stadium cards can block special abilities of certain Pokemon which will give an edge to some players over the rest of them.
* Supporter cards are used just like stadium cards but only one can be played each turn.
* Trainer cards allow players to bring back cards which have been discarded, remove energy from adversaries and heal damage caused by attacks.
* Energy cards are mostly used to enable attacks.

Each attack requires a certain amount of energy which depends on the Pokemon card. Some cards have no color specified so any type of energy card can be used to enable the attack, while others have a color requirement in order to work.

As you can see there are many factors which influence how a certain card will perform in battle, the best way to rapidly become familiar with them is by thinking about the classifications described above and relating them to a specific Pokemon card in the deck which will enhance its attack abilities and give you an advantage over your adversaries.

Collecting Rare Yugioh Cards

Did I lose you at the title? If you stick with me a little bit, I’ll explain. Rarity for yugioh cards is relative. Based on what a card does will actually affect how rare it really becomes in the market. First, there are basically two types of people who buy yugioh cards. The first is the player. Every single time a new yugioh set comes out, a player will go through the yugioh card list for the set and determine which cards will be beneficial to him. The second type is the collector. The collector collects according to his or her preference. Some collectors collect only the rare yugioh cards, while some collect the entire set. I’m a bit of both, I like collecting rare foil yugioh cards and using them to build a deck.

Although both the player and collector can affect the value of any one yugioh card, the player has greater influence on card value of a current tournament legal card. In short, if the card is playable in a tournament, then the player affects the value more than a collector. Another reason collectors don’t affect value as much is because they often just buy one copy of a particular yugioh card. Whereas the player will buy multiple copies of a rare yugioh card to complete the deck.

Now, yugioh cards are classified by the manufacturer based on the ratio of each print run and how much of each classification is placed in a single yugioh booster pack. There are eight common cards in every nine-card yugioh booster pack. One of the nine will be a rare. Sometimes, that rare is replaced by a higher rarity kind of card. In yugioh, there are super rare yugioh cards and ultra rare yugioh cards. There is one super rare in every six booster packs and there is one ultra rare in every twelve booster packs. These are just the numbers based on the print run. It doesn’t mean that if you buy twelve booster packs, then you’re guaranteed an ultra rare yugioh card.

When you’re trading your yugioh cards to either complete your collection or your deck, keep this mind. Not all rare, super rare or ultra rare cards are useful to a player. What this means is that the rare cards that don’t show up in tournament decks are easier to trade for when you’re trading with a player. On the flip side, a rare card that’s playable might be easily traded for when you are trading with a collector. The rarity of a yugioh card depends on the trader’s perception. Some players even trade away super rare cards to get a few rare cards that they need for their tournament deck. So the next time you’re looking to complete your yugioh card collection or tournament deck, find out if the trader is a player or a collector. From there, you’ll know the differences between a “rare” yugioh card and a rare yugioh card.

Prince Marth’s Moment on Nintendo

prince-marth

This is a continuation of my previous blog.

I am finding the really nice part of this game is that the characters become so life-like.  You build character into them, have conversations that add to their growth and buy whatever weapons you want for them.  It’s your own little army to command as you see fit.

It’s a small challenge to convince them to join Marth’s team but once they do it’s a blast to add to them and develop them.  I think this adding and attracting and sadly losing some of your allies is the most intriguing part.  It makes the game new every time you replay a chapter or, as I have done now a few times, when you restart the game.

As is typical of many games, your “soldiers” have a class which decides what they get in the way of weapons or staffs, etc.  I found having several different classes gives you a wide variety of choices  to choose from to take into battle.

Prince Marth – Although he can wield several different weapons and is the commander supreme, he is the heart of the game.  When he dies the game ends, which I wish it didn’t.  I’d like it if there were a healer or healers he’d gather and be able to have a few extra chances before starting from scratch.

In Shadow Dragon – as soon as you get to the Battle Prep it is important to spend a relative amount of time planning the battle strategy before starting in.  Taking the yellow grid square is the ultimate winning tactic.

There is also a Combat Forecast display that comes up once you are on the attack.  It’s sort of a preview of what the enemy has versus what you have so you can make adjustments in your plan.

There is much of the typical game play items, such as, Weapon Use, Skirmishe and Encounters.  The Weapon Triangle is basic as long as you remember what takes what.  Sword takes axe, axe beats lance and lance beats sword.  Use this to your best advantage.

One last note is that the online store certainly gives you lots of choices to spend your gold but shop often as the rare and powerful items rotate in and out of the shop on a daily basis.

The more I play the more I like!

Nintendo DS Marth’s Moment

For those who may not remember, Prince Masrsh originally appeared in Super Smash Bros.  Marth’s Moment is from his first adventure:  Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.  There’s alot of updated, new graphics and special effects and lots more sound and fury.

The aspect of characters having only one life, isn’t my most favorite thing about this game but it is still becoming a great favorite RPG I’ve played in the last few months.

You have the same King Anri, king of Atlea up against an energized Medeus and the evil sorcerer Ghamef.  Young Marth is in exile on the Isle of Talys and starts his quest against Medeus.

The game is set up as chapters that start out with nice short stories and choppy but fairly well done conversations sprinkled throughout the game.  You can replay chapters using the mutli-save slots.  This is a terrific tool!  I found I could go back and retrieve or redo it to save my more powerful characters and pick up new allies as you go.

I especially like the ability in Fire Emblem to add to the characters and get to create conversations.  I did find that I grew attached to some and fel great loss when I lost them.  This has really added a whole new dimension of diffuclty with this game.  It’s alot like espionage, if you don’t gather the right information from conversations with the right characters you’ll lose out on opportunities along the way.

As you go along your people grow from each battle or conversation experiences and become terrific help in battle.

A bit on the characters:

Prince Marth – obviously the main man with lots of weapons – protect him at all costs.

Princess Caeda of Telys is with Marth from the beginning.  Her flying horse would be a godsend in traffic jams!

Gharnef is the most evil sorcerer with lgeions to fight Marth.  Ugly and mean.

Ogma he is also from Telys and is a great swordsman and sworn to protect Princess Caeda.

Princess Nyna is the last of her line from the House of Archanea – she could be an enemy or friend???

I’ll add to this blog as I get more time in the game.  All and all so far my experience would rate this one:
